Lucy Dietrich has been a member since the founding of the church. She has been a member of the choir, and has served on both the Social Concerns and Haiti Committee. For more than 20 years she, along with her late husband Gary, led trips to Haiti from St. Jude to visit our sister parish in Fond Verrettes. Lucy is a former nurse and active volunteer at Metro Catholic Outreach. She has three children, seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Her youngest daughter, Renee, has lived in Haiti for the past 17 years, working with the St. Joseph Family.

Marcia Bedard has been a member of St. Jude parish for 28 years. She grew up in a large catholic family with 8 boys and 6 girls. Her husband, Tony, and her have been married for 39 years and have three grown children: Nicholas, Joseph, and Abby. They've also been blessed with 5 grandchildren. Over the years, Marcia has actively served on the Haiti Committee, taking several trips to our Sister Parish herself and has sponsored many children in Haiti. The bible verse that most speaks to her is Luke 6:31, "So in everything, do to others as you would have them do to you." 

This committee plans and promotes the annual Women's Brunch, which is held every fall. During this event, women of all denominations and from parishes across town gather in the Community Center to enjoy a delicious brunch, fellowship, and a speaker who shares her faith journey.
