Music. The music ministry provides music for weekend liturgies as well as funerals, weddings and communal reconciliations. Cantors, pianists, organists, other instrumentalists and choir members, both young and experienced, are welcome.
Eucharistic Minister. This ministry is a role of service to the community in liturgy. The community depends on distribution of the Eucharist, whether in the Mass or to those who are confined to their homes, independent living, assisted living or care centers. Formal training is provided.
Sacristan. The sacristan ensures the sanctuary is properly set before and after the celebration of the Mass. This includes putting out the Roman Missal, cruets, chalices, ciboria, linens, bread and wine.
Hospitality Minister. The Hospitality Minister is a role of service to the community for liturgical celebrations. It begins by welcoming those who come to pray with us, whether parishioners or visitors. Hospitality ministers demonstrate to the parish how to “welcome one another as Christ has welcomed you” (Romans 15:7). Formal training is provided.
Lector. The ministry of lector is a role of service to the community in liturgy. The community depends on lectors to help facilitate the community prayer by proclaiming the scriptures well. The readings are available to the lectors so they may prepare. Formal training is provided.
Liturgical Environment. This committee is a subcommittee of the Liturgy Committee. Ministry members help to plan, design, set up and maintain all decorative elements of the liturgical environment to enhance the litrugical life of the parish.
Altar Server. This is an opportunity for boys and girls of registered families in grades four through high school to participate in a special way at Mass by assisting at the altar. Training is provided.
